Harvard President Larry Bacow recently welcomed Cambridge Mayor Marc McGovern and hundreds of senior citizens to the 44th annual Harvard Cambridge Senior Luncheon. Guests enjoyed dancing and mingling with friends in Harvard’s historic Tercentenary Theatre.

It was Andrea Haber’s first time coming to the luncheon. Haber, who has lived in Cambridge for more than 53 years, said the festivities were “outstanding.”  “It’s been well-organized, relaxing, and really just remarkable,” she said.

Jack Jennings, GSAS ’80, who lives just down the street, said he’s been coming to the luncheon for more than 20 years. “I’ve been around … I’ve lived in many places and I’ve traveled to many places, and I can think of no better place to be than a few blocks from Harvard and the Square,” he said. “I’ve found a home here. It’s the best place to be in the world.”
